AI Access Modes and Billing

Applies to: templates that provide AI-assisted features

An AppWizzy AI template can support up to three AI access modes:

  • managed AI through the AppWizzy multi-provider proxy.
  • a personal ChatGPT login.
  • a provider API key through BYOK.

The selected template determines which AI access modes are available.

Managed AI

Managed AI works without provider setup. You do not need to provide a provider account or API key.

When you use managed AI:

  • AppWizzy sends the request through the AppWizzy proxy.
  • AppWizzy measures use of the selected model.
  • AppWizzy deducts the charge from your AppWizzy credit balance.
  • AppWizzy shows the use in your billing activity.
  • the provider for the selected model processes the request.

OpenAI receives requests for GPT-family models. The provider for another hosted model receives requests for that model.

Local inference stays in the AppWizzy/Flatlogic infrastructure when AppWizzy provides it.

Available models and rates can change. Use the model selector and current pricing page for the models and rates available to your account.

Personal ChatGPT login

You can use a personal ChatGPT login in the installed Codex or a related tool when the template supports it.

In this mode:

  • your OpenAI account and plan govern your relationship with OpenAI.
  • that account controls its use limits and charges.
  • AppWizzy does not include that provider account or subscription.
  • AppWizzy charges VM hosting separately.

The persistent browser or application profile can store your personal login session. Treat VM access as access to that active session.

Bring your own key (BYOK)

You can provide your own provider API key through BYOK when the template supports it.

In this mode:

  • your provider account pays for model use.
  • provider limits and terms apply.
  • AppWizzy charges VM hosting separately.
  • AppWizzy stores BYOK credentials securely and encrypts them.

Create a separate provider key for this project when possible. Set provider cost limits.

Rotate the key when access changes. Remove the key before you transfer the project to another person.

Staff access and support

AppWizzy staff access prompts or VM content only after you request assistance. Support will explain the required access if the work needs it.

Do not send provider keys, passwords, or exported browser sessions in an ordinary support message.

Compare the modes

Mode Who pays for AI use Credential that you provide Does AppWizzy charge VM hosting?
Managed AI AppWizzy credit balance No Yes
Personal ChatGPT login Your OpenAI/ChatGPT account Account login Yes
BYOK Your selected provider Provider API key Yes

If you change the AI access mode, AppWizzy still charges for VM hosting. A free template does not include free managed AI or VM hosting.
