Quick Start
Applies to: all AppWizzy templates
AppWizzy provides hosted projects from preconfigured templates. Each template supplies a different runtime, workspace, application, or app-generation process.
Use this guide to create your first project. Read the selected template guide for its specific setup and access steps.
1. Create your account
- Open AppWizzy.
- Select Sign up.
- Register with email, Google, or GitHub.
- Confirm your email when AppWizzy requests confirmation.
- Sign in to your account.
Do not share your AppWizzy password. Invite another user as a collaborator when that person needs project access.
2. Choose a starting point
Choose the template family that matches your work:
| Starting point | Use it for |
|---|---|
| Hosting runtime | Host your own PHP, Python, or other compatible software |
| AI workspace | Use Codex, Codex Desktop, or Hermes in a persistent hosted environment |
| App Generation | Generate and change a structured application from your requirements |
| Ready-made software | Start with a configured business application and adapt it |
| External Code | Import an existing GitHub repository or ZIP archive |
Read Choose a Starting Point for a detailed comparison.
The template catalog shows the current public templates. Create New App provides another project creation path.
3. Configure the project
- Select a template.
- Enter a clear project name.
- Enter any information that the template requests.
- Select one of the displayed machine sizes.
- Select the project visibility when this option is available.
- Review all displayed charges.
- Confirm project creation.
The selected template controls the available machine sizes and setup fields. Some templates also have a one-time license fee.
Read Create a Hosted Machine for the complete creation process.
4. Wait for the project
AppWizzy can show queued and provisioning states before the project is ready. Keep the project page open or return to it later.
Do not create a duplicate project while the first request remains active.
If provisioning fails, AppWizzy refunds the provisioning charge. Contact support if the project remains in one state without progress.
5. Open the project
The project page shows the access methods that the selected template supports. These methods can include:
- an application or website URL.
- a browser workspace.
- Remote Desktop.
- SSH.
- application administrator credentials.
- template-specific instructions.
Browser, Remote Desktop, and mobile access depend on the template. AppWizzy supports SSH for each hosted VM.
6. Protect your access
Store project passwords, API keys, and SSH keys securely. Do not commit them to a source repository.
A hosted workspace can contain code, files, terminal history, browser profiles, and authentication data. Give project access only to trusted people.
Read Project Access and Credentials before you share access.
7. Understand lifecycle and cost
AppWizzy charges VM hosting in 24-hour hosting periods. A period starts when a VM starts or resumes.
Pause, restart, and resize preserve data on the active disk. Deletion removes the VM and its active disk.
Read these guides before you change the project:
