Template Fees and Total Cost

Applies to: all AppWizzy templates and hosted VM projects

An AppWizzy project can have a template fee, VM hosting charges, managed AI charges, and external provider charges.

Review each cost separately before you create the project.

One AppWizzy credit equals one US dollar. Subscription credits and top-ups enter the same AppWizzy credit balance.

Template license fee

Some templates have a one-time license fee. The template page and creation interface show the fee before project creation.

AppWizzy charges this fee in credits. A one-time fee does not include future VM hosting or managed AI use.

Free or No template license fee means that this one-time fee is zero. It does not mean that VM hosting is free.

Your plan can control access to paid templates. Review the current plan and template details before creation.

VM hosting

The selected machine size determines the VM hosting rate. AppWizzy charges each started 24-hour hosting period in full.

The period starts when the VM starts or resumes. It does not depend on midnight or a billing time zone.

AppWizzy does not prorate a hosting period. Pausing the VM does not refund unused time in the current period.

AppWizzy does not start another period while the VM remains paused. Resuming starts the next period.

The interface can show an estimate for 30 active days. This estimate equals 30 daily hosting charges.

Managed AI

AppWizzy managed AI works through the AppWizzy multi-provider proxy. You do not need a provider account or provider key for this mode.

Managed AI consumes credits from your AppWizzy balance. The selected model and measured use determine the charge.

The model interface shows current rates. Project Billing shows managed AI activity for that project.

Personal ChatGPT login and BYOK

Some templates support a personal ChatGPT login or a provider API key through BYOK.

Personal ChatGPT use follows the terms and billing of that account. BYOK use follows the pricing of the provider for that key.

These modes do not consume AppWizzy managed AI credits. VM hosting charges continue while the VM is active.

Calculate the total cost

Use this relationship for a project estimate:

text total AppWizzy cost = template fee + active hosting periods + managed AI use

Add any personal provider or external service charges separately.

Example: a free template removes only the template fee. The project can still use paid VM hosting and managed AI.

Review billing activity

Open Project Billing to review charges and refunds tied to one project. It also shows the machine and estimated hosting for 30 active days.

Open the main billing page to review your subscription, top-ups, payments, and invoices.

The current credit balance pays AppWizzy service charges across your account. Project Billing does not represent a separate project balance.

Failed provisioning and insufficient credits

AppWizzy refunds a failed provisioning charge.

If the balance cannot fund a new hosting period, AppWizzy can pause the VM and issue a deletion notice.

Add credits and resume the VM before the displayed deletion deadline. Read VM Lifecycle and Billing for the complete process.

Use live rates

Machine rates, model rates, template fees, and plan contents can change. Use the live pricing, template, and creation interfaces for current amounts.
