AppWizzy Feature Matrix
Applies to: all AppWizzy projects and templates
AppWizzy provides one VM hosting platform with different templates. The hosting platform provides common functions, while each template adds specific capabilities.
Use this matrix to identify the correct scope. Confirm current software, access methods, and prices in the selected template guide and creation interface.

Template families
| Template family | Primary result | Typical capabilities |
|---|---|---|
| Classic hosting and runtimes | A hosted software environment | SSH, application services, persistent storage, and template tools |
| AI workspaces | A persistent development or agent workspace | Codex, agent tools, browser access, Remote Desktop, or mobile access |
| App Generation and SaaS Engine | A custom data-driven application | Requirements, schema, generated code, authentication, dashboards, and application changes |
| Ready-made applications | A hosted application foundation | Existing business workflows, data models, administration, and customization |
| External Code | A project from a description or existing source | Source import, VM workspace, terminal tools, and MCP project creation |
Use Choose a Starting Point to select a template family.
Access feature matrix
| Access method | Platform or template scope |
|---|---|
| Project page | Common project management access |
| SSH | All hosted VMs |
| Public or protected browser URL | Template-specific |
| Remote Desktop | Template-specific |
| Mobile connection | Template-specific |
| Application administrator panel | Template-specific |
| Browser code editor | Template-specific |
The project page shows the access methods for that project. Read Project Access and Credentials.
AI feature matrix
An AI-enabled template can support one or more access modes:
| AI mode | Account used for AI | AI charge |
|---|---|---|
| Managed AI | AppWizzy managed provider access | AppWizzy credits |
| Personal ChatGPT login | Your OpenAI account | Your OpenAI account |
| BYOK | Your selected provider account | Your provider account |
The selected template determines the available modes. AppWizzy charges VM hosting separately in all three modes.
Read AI Access Modes and Billing for processing, credentials, and billing details.
App Generation features
Supported App Generation and SaaS templates can provide:
- a tailored database schema.
- a frontend, backend, and database.
- authentication and authorization.
- roles and permissions.
- data tables, forms, dashboards, charts, and calendars.
- search, filtering, and validation.
- generated APIs and API documentation.
- source code access and application changes.
The selected template and version determine the exact stack and components. These features do not apply to unrelated hosting or AI workspace templates.
Use the App Generation documentation and SaaS Engine Developer Reference for template-specific procedures.
Data and operations
The active disk can contain source code, databases, uploads, logs, terminal history, browser profiles, and authentication data.
AppWizzy preserves the active disk during pause, restart, and resize. Deletion removes the VM and its active disk.

Costs and availability
A template can have a one-time license fee. VM hosting and managed AI are separate charges.
Available templates, machine sizes, access methods, model rates, and fees can change. Review the live catalog and confirmation before project creation.
