AppWizzy Codex

AppWizzy Codex is a hosted development workspace with a Codex-powered chat interface on a dedicated Linux VM.

Use it to build, debug, review, and maintain software without preparing a Codex environment yourself.

Included environment

The template includes:

  • a protected browser-based Codex workspace.
  • persistent Codex sessions.
  • a persistent project filesystem.
  • terminal and file tools.
  • managed AI connectivity.
  • SSH access to the project workspace.
  • an AppWizzy mobile connection for text and voice tasks.

The template is the development workspace. It does not generate a database schema or an unrelated starter application.

AppWizzy Codex does not include the graphical Remote Desktop interface.

Choose AppWizzy Codex Desktop when you need an Ubuntu desktop and graphical applications.

Create the workspace

  1. Open the AppWizzy template catalog.
  2. Select AppWizzy Codex.
  3. Enter the project name.
  4. Select an available machine size.
  5. Review the displayed charges.
  6. Create the project.

You do not need an initial generator message or database schema. Wait until the VM becomes ready.

Sign in

Open project settings after provisioning. Copy the AppWizzy Codex URL and project password.

Open the URL and enter the password. Do not share this password in a public message or repository.

Work with Codex

Create separate sessions for different repositories or tasks. Codex can inspect files and use terminal tools inside the project workspace.

Use SSH when you need a separate terminal client. AppWizzy gives restricted SSH access to the project workspace.

Pair the mobile connection from the workspace settings. The mobile interface can create sessions, send voice or text tasks, and show responses.

Managed AI access

AppWizzy connects the workspace to the managed AI proxy during deployment. You do not need a provider key for this mode.

Managed AI usage appears in AppWizzy billing. Available models and rates can change.

Pause or resume the workspace

A pause stops the VM and the browser workspace. It preserves data on the active disk.

Resume the VM before you open Codex, SSH, or the mobile connection.
