Create a Hosted Machine

Applies to: all AppWizzy hosted VM templates

You can create a VM from the AppWizzy template catalog or the Create New App process. Other creation interfaces can provide the same selections.

Before you start

Before you start, confirm these items:

  • You use the correct AppWizzy account.
  • Your AppWizzy credit balance covers the displayed initial charge.
  • You know which template you require.
  • You know whether the template has a one-time license fee.
  • You reviewed the access methods and software that the template supports.

One credit equals one US dollar. The AppWizzy credit balance pays for VM hosting, managed AI usage, and applicable template license fees.

Create the VM

  1. Open Templates or Create New App.
  2. Select the template for your workload.
  3. Enter a project name and any template-specific setup information.
  4. Select a machine size. AppWizzy shows only eligible machine sizes for the selected template.
  5. Choose project visibility if the template offers that setting.
  6. Review the displayed charges:
    • the VM hosting rate.
    • any one-time template license fee.
    • any separate managed-AI usage information.
  7. Confirm creation.

AppWizzy reserves or charges the credits required for provisioning. If AppWizzy cannot provision the VM, AppWizzy refunds the provisioning charge.

Wait for provisioning

The project can have queued and provisioning states before it is ready. Do not submit another request only because the first request remains active.

After provisioning, the project page shows the access methods that the template supports. These access methods can include:

  • the project URL.
  • a browser workspace.
  • Remote Desktop.
  • SSH.
  • application or administrator credentials.
  • template-specific setup instructions.

AppWizzy supports SSH for every hosted VM. Browser, Remote Desktop, and mobile access depend on the selected template.

Billing begins when the VM starts

AppWizzy charges VM hosting in rolling 24-hour hosting periods. A hosting period starts when the VM starts.

AppWizzy does not provide a partial hosting period. A pause preserves the active disk.

A pause does not refund unused time in the current hosting period.

Keep your first credentials safe

Some templates create passwords, access URLs, SSH details, or provider credentials during provisioning. Store these items securely.

Do not store secrets in a public source repository. Send secrets only through a secure method that AppWizzy support requests.
